This speech therapy program, developed by TalkTools Instructor and apraxia expert, Renee Roy Hill, MS, CCC-SLP, is ideal for transitioning clients with motor-planning deficits from Oral Placement activities to speech production. The three sets of tools provide tactile cueing for specific sounds -- /m/, /p/, /b/, /oo/, /oh/, /ee/, /ih/, /eh/, /uh/ and /ah/, so clients can feel where the articulators should be during speech production. When combined with verbal and visual cues, they provide a multisensory approach to facilitating speech.

  • Program includes 1 set each:
    • bilabial shapes
    • tactile tubes
    • speech blocks
    • instruction manual and demo videos (access to manual and videos available AFTER purchase)
  • Click through to purchase apraxia tools separately
  • Optimize the use of this program with the live or online course "A Sensory-motor Approach to Apraxia of Speech"

Useful kit in apraxia therapy

A very useful tools for apraxia therapy! The kit contains 24 demonstration videos, which explain the work stages in detail.
I like the simple way the tools can be used! Bilabial sounds and vowels can be clearly produced with these tools. Very helpful in the case of non-verbal children with apraxia!

Not just placement cues

These materials accompany the Sensory Approach to Apraxia. The course was clear and functional. I loved that we were given a set of tools and the video to review the exercises for transition in to next day use! The tools are such a simple concept for a complicated issue! The tiniest of kiddos pick up on the function quickly!
