Continuing education courses are required in the speech, feeding and occupational therapy industry and TalkTools® has great programs to help you obtain those CEUs and keep up on exciting industry research and news. Valuable, relevant material on advances in approaches, trends, and technologies are presented by industry leading therapists to inform emerging, as well as, veteran practitioners. Aside from the opportunity to interact with and ask questions of our outstanding therapists, live workshops feature opportunities to practice, hands-on, the therapy techniques using the recommended tools. If you’re unable to attend a workshop in person, check out our self-study DVD courses, which also offer CEU credits. Find information on continuing education credits, and self-study DVDs here.

Clinical Research

We are actively working with researchers to provide practitioners and families with evidence-based therapeutic methods to address oral-motor aspects of speech, sensory and feeding deficits. As a research-based clinic committed to providing the most current practices, we offer a wide variety of services and therapies aimed not just at treating the individual, but working with their parents and caregivers. Several research projects are underway addressing various aspects of TalkTools® techniques, tools and methodologies. We are continuously collaborating with other professionals to expand our knowledge of oral-placement applications for sensory, feeding and speech development, and as a result we are able to extend to you an entire library of material to explore at your leisure.

Additional Resources

In addition to oral placement therapy tools and techniques, Talk Tools® also provides a wide range of books, forms, and other resources to support your practice.  We have just introduced an innovative articulation program designed to translate muscle movements (using Talk Tools® Oral Placement Therapy hierarchies) into speech sound production. Another new arrival is the an easy-to-use early communication and schedule board kit to create unique schedule boards and early communication and language photo cards for multiple clients from one kit.
